Pain and Posture Go Hand In Hand
Other than acute injury or trauma, most of the mild discomfort or chronic pain felt in the neck, shoulders and back are contributed by adopting poor posture. This adoption of poor posture can start in our early childhood years and progressively develop over time into an imbalance in the muscles which cause pain, discomfort, and for some, debilitating illness. The most common source of back pain can be traced to muscle imbalance in the abdominal structure. With proper corrective strengthening exercises & re-education of the core musculature you can minimise or remove back pain related to poor core stability. Correcting muscle imbalance within the body is individualised because a person needs to be coached out of it. At Body Fit our aim is to re-educate the way that people think about their posture and guide them to overcoming their pain. We prescribe for our clients a specific exercise program and take them through a re-education process that addresses every other area of their life (e.g. sitting, walking, lifting, working positions etc.) at a neural, (brain) level.
